East Berkshire CCG began piloting work with schools in 2017. Since then, we have learned from our successes and in 2019/20 are rolling out a targeted campaign, delivered by GPs within First/Primary schools, focusing on children in Year 4 (age 8-9). The objectives are to engage children around hand washing and keeping bugs at bay, encourage self-care and promote understanding of the best place to go if someone is feeling unwell.
So far, we have reached over 500 children at 13 schools with our important message. To see the list of schools we have visited, please click here.

If your child recently participated in the session at school with a local GP, we would love to hear your feedback!
